About Anna Lush
Anna Lush is a music teacher, choral conductor, singer and composer who lives in London. She has worked as Teacher of Music and Head of Music in a number of London and Surrey schools, and enjoys taking occasional rehearsals of choirs and choral societies alongside her teaching commitments.
She recently left her position of Assistant Director of Music at St Mary’s Church, Wimbledon, where she ran the chorister programme., growing chorister numbers from 6 to over 30 children aged 6 - 16.
She composes music regularly for her choristers to sing. Her carol Angels We Have Heard on High was shortlisted for the Bach Choir Sir David Willcocks Carol Competition in December 2023.

As a teacher, she is extremely passionate about setting children up for success at GCSE. She has developed a clear colour-coding system and an enormous bank of creative resources over the last 7 years to help pupils navigate the musical terminology and in-depth set work knowledge needed to succeed in the Edexcel appraising exam.
